Dakota Fanning Models for Marc Jacobs Oh Lola Fragrance

Although I’m quite delighted with the fact that Dakota Fanning has been selected to represent the Oh Lola fragrance from Marc Jacobs, I’m less than thrilled with the creative direction of this particular image.
It shows the Twilight star leaning back, with a Lolita come hither look, and a fragrance bottle with a large flower shaped stopper at the apex of her thighs. Its lack of subtlety and imagination is a discredit to the well-respected actress.

Very well put. I agree. She looks pretty and it’s great that they chose her, but I think they should have taken into consideration that she’s young and it just doesn’t fit her, her personality, who she is. I don’t know, but it seems off and strange.

I think this was a very disrespectful shot of Dakota. This is not her image unless she wanted to do it because she feels grown up. I hope not.
