New Moon director Chris Weitz has a 30 October 2009 deadline that he has to absolutely meet or his Halloween may turn out to be a gamut of tricks. Hitflix reports.

Q: Chris, real quick, what’s your drop dead due date that you have to turn the film in to make the release date [of 20 November 2009]?

Ironically, I think it’s the day before Halloween. I believe Oct. 30 is our drop dead date. It’s our time to start striking the prints or we’re in big trouble.
