Chris Weitz Does Not Deny Robsten

The very clever and witty New Moon director Chris Weitz dodges the Robsten question brilliantly, but, hints that time might reveal all during an interview with Amy Nicholson of Box Office
One of my favorite New Moon conspiracy theories is that the producers are ordering Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson to keep their love hidden because it will affect the way people will perceive the story, even though the story is already known even until the next two books.
The fans know what the Volturi look like or what Taylor Lautner as Jacob’s amazing bod is going to look like—the producers know these things are big points of curiosity about whether we’ve been able to be faithful to people’s notions. And they want to parse these things out over time. [Laughs] It is a conspiracy, but the conspiracy is called marketing.
The “parse these things out over time” comment reminds me of the allegation that Summit Entertainment has requested rumored lovebirds Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart to keep their relationship under low profile until the release of New Moon, which highlights the Bella Swan and Jacob Black relationship, hence, the emphasis on the Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner tandem during the ongoing New Moon publicity.
And, I find it amusing that the Box Office reporter referred to the “love” between The Twilight Saga stars as if it’s already confirmed. LOL. In any case, Chris Weitz wisely does not comment on it directly either.

This is interesting to say the least. Everyone else on the set claims that they dont really know whats going on… there is just too much circumstantial evidnce to deny the relationship, but wouldnt it suck if we were all terribly wrong? NO! that would mean that rpattz is free for the taking!

No one dares to deny Robsten anymore since it is soo obvious that they are soo ON that even a blind person can see it. So what’s the point of denying it when it is clearly true? Oh yeah, when did the Summit-ordering-RPattz&KSTEW-relationship-in-downlow start? Did Summit say it officially? I’m just lost since I thought a fan just stated it and then everyone believed her.

Lala, please note that it’s an allegation, something that has not been confirmed, and, in my opinion, might never be confirmed. However, as I stated above and in another post, it’s an allegation that makes a lot of sense.

and to think, new moon is coming very soon. i guess we’ll be seeing less of robsten esp. on the promotion period of the said movie.

I don’t quite understand. Does Summit really think fans don’t know the entire Bella/Edward story by now? We all know how it turns out. I dare you to find one Twilight fan who can’t recite all 4 books by heart.
