Catherine Hardwicke Confirms ATwilightKiss Robsten Theories

In the Catherine Hardwick interview with Time Magazine, she confirms some of the earlier statements of Robert Pattinson and reveals some very private details.
By all accounts, the chemistry between the two leads was intense, maybe too intense. “After I cast him, I told Rob, Don’t even think about having a romance with her,” Hardwicke says. “She’s under 18. You will be arrested.” It was the beginning of the real-life are-they-aren’t-they, did-they-didn’t-they speculation that is now an ongoing subplot of the Twilight story. “I didn’t have a camera in the hotel room. I cannot say,” Hardwicke says. “But in terms of what Kristen told me directly, it didn’t happen on the first movie. Nothing crossed the line while on the first film. I think it took a long time for Kristen to realize, O.K., I’ve got to give this a go and really try to be with this person.”
Now, forgive me, but, I am just bursting with what Robert Pattinson has described as a “Whoa, I’m so cool” feeling.
Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has just confirmed several theories that I’ve either thought, believed and actually stated on the site. And, right after I read the Time quote in an Internet shop, a song came on the speakers that made me drop my jaw in astonishment!
Make me an angel that flies from Montgomery
Make me a poster of an old rodeo
Just give me one thing that I can hold on to
To believe in this living is just a hard way to go
Recognize the words? Yup. They’re the lyrics to the song that Kristen Stewart sang in Into the Wild (go to 0:32), the film that Robert Pattinson saw her in and was absolutely fascinated by her.
Nope, it wasn’t the Kristen Stewart [version that I heard on the radio], but, nevertheless, the timing of the song during such a Robsten moment made my skin tingle and my hair to stand up. Goosebumps moment, I swear…
Thanks to iToy Robot for the heads up via email, RadarOnline.com for the Time link, and ATK readers Chi and Guinevere for having listened repeatedly to my Robsten ramblings patiently in the past.

Sweetie, we’re so glad to have actually listened to you. By all account, our perception based on our discussion at that time is sooo spot on.
However, much as I’m so giddy to watch the audition tape, I’m not liking what CH is doing. I feel like she’s cashing-in on Robsten or she’s trying to get attention at the expense of Rob and Kris. Although, I don’t argue that she’s got the copy rights on the tape, since she practically did it (I hope I’m not right on this), I hope she’ll be sensible enough not sell something that is so private and intimate.
Take care always my friend.

Catherine had no right opening her big mouth to the media about Rob and Kristen’s personal lives. I like Catherine but she could be such a fruitcake sometimes.

i´m really happy to have another ROBSTEN proof, but it wasn´t fair of catherine to say something about their relationship that´s so private, because they want to keep it to themselves. and when rob and kristen don´t want to tell anybody, it is their decision to keep their relationship hidden and catherine has no right to say something about them.
but anyway: ROBSTEN <3 <3 <3

im sooo glad that they r going out cos i loveee them on there own and as a couple buuttt what a bitch she had no right to say that she just wants attention as no 1 cares about her anymore

Catherine had no right to tell anything she knows about Rob and Kristen. First of all, she sounds paranoid because of Kris being underage during Twilight. There are people we trust those issues to so that is no excuse for her coming out with THEIR news. I also wonder if it isn’t to try and sabotage the relationship because she is friends with Kristen’s ex, Michael. Why can’t people leave them alone and let their relationship be whatever it will be. Jealously probably. Who doesn’t want what they have? I don’t think anything can come between them, their love is too strong. Hopefully they’ll not let the media get to them.

Sometimes fans have short memories. Remember it’s CH who helped create Robsten. It’s nice feeling a sort of an “elder” is looking after their welfare. From the sense it, I think Rob wouldn’t mind going public coz he made a comment like “being caught like a school boy…” Wouldn’t someone be proud to shout on top of the world about their beautiful love? I do respect Kristin if she wants it private but sometimes your walking a fine line of being a hypocrite. In their interviews lately, you could sense they lavish each other with praises that amounts to being very close. The airport scene was exhilarating, so tender and beautiful! Hope they come out soon~just being honest. Surely, fans will love them more for it.

After the airport “holding hands” even “clinging” to her man’s arm walking side by side or even Kristin tickling Rob’s hand gently, we don’t need verbal confirmation. Action speaks louder than words. Just carry on! See you all in New Moon!

i think kristen is afraid to show the real thing coz maybe fans would not approve the relationship but the love they feel for each other is really strong it manifest in their actions and by the way they look at each other. But for rob he so on it, just hiding it for kristen sake.

Lorna, love your blog and you do a wonderful job but I have to point out that Kristen does do her own singing of Angel From Montgomery from Into the Wild. She does such a soulful job of this and did the song justice. I googled the music credits for the movie, and yep, Kristen is credited. Sorry to contradict you.

Hi Atticus. Yes, I do know that Kristen Stewart did her own singing in Into The Wild. However, the version on the radio is the one that I’m referring to. It was somebody else doing a version of the song during a live concert. My apologies for the mix up. Maybe should rewrite that part.
Note: Done. Rewritten. Thank you for the heads up.
