The Twilight Saga Eclipse premiere in LA took me back to the very first one — Twilight — when all had seemed possible and I was floating blissfully on the wings of love.

The passage of time has not dimmed my fevered longing for her one bit. I waited impatiently for her to arrive. I could barely contain myself. I was bursting with happiness and I couldn’t care less if the whole world could tell that my very existence revolved around her.

As Kristen explained to the excited throng how we were going to try and give kissing “a shot” as part of our acceptance speech for the Best Kiss Award, a part of me groaned inwardly.

And so she did. The first attempt went awry. I felt like a donkey’s arse onstage.

Bloody hell! This must be the very definition of a f—ing living nightmare. What would be tantamount to be the fruition of the standard male fantasy has turned out to be the embodiment of my personal form of hell. I’m surrounded by an abundance of female flesh, too much so that I was writhing inwardly with revulsion.

Yet I had been mentally preparing for this Details Magazine shoot for months now, ever since my manager and talent agent had arranged it for me in a bid to expand my image that was solely based on The Twilight Saga, a manipulation of the public persona that had been created for one Robert Pattinson

I scoffed at the need for the task on hand, and then had to sigh with resignation. The public’s perception of me has to evolve to allow for the growth of my career.

The bedroom scene in The Twilight Saga Eclipse was sorely testing my patience and control. Pretending to rein in my desire for Kristen was an all too familiar sensation that awakened arousing memories of sensual scenarios.

The Edward and Bella sequence was bordering on the threshold of reality that there was hardly any need to imagine the emotions and cravings involved. And blast it! Kristen was not making it any easier.

I scowled slightly, berating myself about the last take during the filming of Remember Me. If this had taken place on The Twilight Saga set, the slight break would have erupted into a discussion between Kristen and I. We would probably have argued about the scene objective before coming to a decision as to how the next possible attack might be.
