Barbie and Ken as Bella and Edward Dolls Available 01 November 2009
Mattel’s Barbie Collector Designer, Sharon Zuckerman, reveals that The Twilight Saga series author Stephenie Meyer had an integral part in the creation of the collectors item.
“Stephenie herself came to Mattel and art directed the look of the dolls. She was integral in perfecting every detail as she really wanted Edward and Bella to embody the spirit of the characters that she envisioned while writing the series.”
Furthermore, Sharon Zuckerman discloses that the Barbie and Ken design team also had the original costumes on hand, which were worn by Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in the meadow scene, to ensure the authenticity of the final product.
“We also had the ACTUAL costumes from the movie set that were used in the ‘Forever 17’ scene to help inspire the costumes for the dolls. It was an unforgettable experience and I hope TWILIGHT fans are just as excited about the dolls as I am!”
The Bella Swan and Edward Cullen dolls from toy giant Mattel will be available for sale by 01 November 2009 for $24.95. I am so getting a pair!!! Woot!!!

I have mixed feeling about this because I’m not into Barbies. But I like Twilight collectibles. Hmm I might get it for my 6-yr old niece. She’s been eyeing my Twi books asking if she can read them already.IKR? She loves books and has been reading since she was 3. Told her i’ll let her read HP first when she turns 7. And I secretly put my TwiSaga books higher on the shelves lol.

Hi all! Yes she watched Teen Choice awards! It was weird she knew he would be there bec. from the beginning of the show she just kept screaming Babu. So anyway, bad mother that I am, I let her stay past her bedtime so she can see him more. So funny because her and I screamed together when Babu was shown on TV. Dh taped it too so she can rewind and watch her “Babu” over and over again. LOL.
Also, since her Twilight stars mag is getting trashed from her sticky little fingers, I caved in and got a poster frame and I framed one of the posters for her(the one when he was at the Oscars). She was just so happy, squealing w/ joy! I hung it in her nursery but she wants to drag this huge frame w. her all over the house now
. Sorry I had a stupid mommy moment there and I just had to share!
