Baby Girl Goes Gaga Over Robert Pattinson #1

SEQ 01. INT. Bookstore. A woman pushing a stroller with a toddler enters.

The toddler spies something and starts to make an excited fuss.

Her mother reaches in and carries the toddler in her arms.

The toddler struggles in her arms until her mother lets her down.

The toddler runs towards a Twilight display with a worried mother right behind her.

The toddler heads straight to the displayed poster on the low table.

TODDLER
Papa!

The toddler hugs the poster of Edward Cullen.

MOM
C’mon, sweetie. Let go.

TODDLER
No!

MOM
Sweetheart, that’s not ours.

TODDLER
Papa! Papa!

MOM
Sweetie, we have to go. Look, mama will give you a nice ride on the stroller.

TODDLER
Papa! Papa!

The mother goes to a nearby stand and gets a magazine that promised an Edward Cullen poster inside. She leafs through it quickly.

MOM
Look, sweetie. You can have your own picture.

The toddler looks at it, refuses to let go, and then starts having a tantrum. People inside the bookstore begin to stare, trying to see what the commotion is all about.

SEQ 02. INT. Bedroom. The parents of the toddler are in front of her.

MOM
Papa.

The mom takes the hand of the toddler and makes her touch her father.

MOM
Robert.

The mom points to the poster inside the magazine, which is clutched in the toddler’s tight fist.

The mother repeats the process of word association by letting the toddler touch her father with the word papa and pointing to Robert at the word Robert.

MOM
Papa. Robert. Papa. Robert.

TODDLER
Bobert! Bobert! Bobert!

The toddler smiles gleefully and kisses the poster of Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen.

“When she first started getting crazy over Robert, she would scream and call him ‘Papa!’

“I remember we were at Borders one time and there was a huge poster of Twilight. It was just the face of Edward Cullen. The moment she saw it she started screaming “Papa!”

“And she ran and hugged the poster (it was on one of those low display tables) and won’t let go, had a huge tantrum. People started looking at us and laughing of course.

“So after that I started telling her that’s not her PAPA! I said his name is Robert…so yeah now she pretty much say Bobert or Babu. So silly.”

    Haha…yeah I’m the mom of the toddler. I’m not obsessed but she is so perceptive and when I’m reading in this blog she is usually hovering and looking at the pictures. And also she’s seen bits and pieces of Twilight(over and over), not to mention magazines at the store. I honestly have no clue why she called him papa. My husband has the same messy brown hair and extremely pale white skin but he doesn’t look like Robert :-) .

    haha aw bless i think it’s cute, she obviously is more perceptive than you think to remember and feel quite strongly towards an image of someone she has seen from a movie and i agree with TeamEdward76, that would be funny to see his reaction if a kid did say this to Rob :D x

    TeamEdward76 LOL! Would love to see that happen! Imagining it already makes me laugh, what more if it actually does! Rob would totally freak! And yeah, I’m curious how Kris will react as well…;p
