Baby Girl Crushing on Robert Pattinson Babu Counter Video
ATwilightKiss reader sabrina tt shared an amazing bit of information about the word ‘babu.’ What might seem like cute gibberish at first is actually a common word in her country of Bangladesh.
I’m from Bangladesh and in our Bengali language the word ‘Babu’ means ‘adorable and pretty baby.’ Mothers call their child ‘Babu’ similarly as people call their children sweetie, baby, dear, etc.
Isabel, your daughter is a Babu.
Cleverly, ATK reader Guinevere edited the two videos together and added a ‘Babu’ counter that counts how many times the word ‘Babu’ is mentioned.
And, what is even more astounding is that she did it BEFORE she learned the meaning of the word ‘Babu.’ Guinevere just loved the word and has taken to calling Robert Pattinson ‘Babu’ at times.

Haha, sadly I have started calling Robert by Babu too (because that’s how my daughter kept calling him)! I hope Babu knows how much he means to my child! Today she’s been saying “Babu hot!” She’s trying to say Robert’s hot!

Hehe,its really wonderful to see that Babu has this level of influence over people.I mean, this baby girl who doesent even have a conscious idea of who Rob really is,loves him this much…..it seems like you dont have to have a reason to love Robert Pattinson!
Hey Isabel,I just wanted to know…how did all of this start??? I mean how did she come across her Babu at the first place?? what did she do when she did? Did she ask you what his name is?? How much exactly does your daughter know about Rob? what did she make of it?

Hi Sabrina, I’ll answer your questions.
-How did it all start? Well in March of this yr when I first saw Twilight. I wasn’t in a least bit interested in Robert before that, unfortunately, in fact I had vowed never to watch that movie,
. So ok when DH and I watched it, my DD saw Babu then.
-How did she come across Babu? Well it started on the DVD, I mean she was just transfixed! She was mesmerized and had a huge grin on her face, she’s in love! LOL
-What did she do? Trying to remember, I think she kept pointing to him and acting all excited.
-Did she ask what his name was? Well since at that time she was barely 18 months old she couldn’t really form the words to ask for his name yet. I did tell her his name is Robert. Then later on we were at Borders and she saw a huge poster of him and she ran towards him calling him Papa, Lorna posted this here
. So I ran towards her and I was so embarrassed at the store. She was screaming, clawing on “Babu’s” face calling him Papa. I kept telling her, NO this is NOT your Papa! This is Robert! Eventually she stopped calling Babu her papa.
-How much does she know about Rob? I don’t know how much she knows, all I know is she asks to watch the Twilight DVD all the time and she only wants to see Babu, no one else. Each time he comes in the room she screams and jumps up and down. She also likes to look at magazines, my mom just bought her that new US Twilight stars and I swear she looks at it all day long! She touches his face, kisses him, etc. LOL
-What did she make of it? I guess my answer would be above. I don’t know, even my Dh, my mom and every relative and friend as amazed at home attached she’s become to Babu and she’s never even met him in person. Do you know before she goes to bed at night we pray? She goes down a list of people, she will be like “bless mama, papa, BABU….
So she’s obviously thinking of him. And then lots of times when she wakes up in the morning, that’s the name I hear on the baby monitor…BABU.:-P No joke.

Isabel, thanks for answering the questions. One additional question, please. You mentioned before that you speak some Spanish. Can I take it to mean DD doesn’t have any knowledge or has had the opportunity to hear the Bengali language? That’s what’s so amazing for me! Out of all the possible words to come up with, she makes up a word with so much meaning… It just made my jaw drop when sabrina tt shared its meaning. Completely blown over, etc.! XO

Lorna, good morning. No she’s never been exposed to Bengali at all. Because she is so young, she has a hard time saying “Robert” so I think that’s how she came up with Babu. When I said what his name was, she said very slowly, “Babu.” Close enough LOL. Oh u wait til u see the next 2 videos I send you, you’re gonna laugh so hard!
