3 Dos for Robert Pattinson While in Tokyo Japan
There’s a possibility that Rob might be invited by their Japanese hosts to a home cooked meal, which would mean that the Twilight stars have to remember some Japanese etiquette. Although there are numerous ones, let’s limit it to the top three, so that Rob and his companions can avoid any major faux pas.
Remove your shoes before entering any Japanese home. Since it’s customary to remove one’s shoes before entering a Japanese home, it would be best to wear slip on shoes so that it’s easy to take them on and off. It would be nice if there are no holes in your socks and your feet and toe nails are relatively clean.
Use the moist towels to clean your hands. The moist rolled up towels that are provided before the meal are only meant for cleaning your hands, but, not your face and neck.
Make sounds while eating and don’t stick your chopsticks in the rice. It is polite to make slurping or chomping sounds while eating. The sounds show that you like the food. And, if you intend to use the chopsticks, do not stick them upright in the rice. This is a death omen, since the chopsticks’ position mimics incense sticks in a funeral.
We have all seen how Rob can curl up into a pretzel with his long legs, so, I think sitting on the floor with legs crossed will be no problem for him. And, I think he’s cosmopolitan enough to know that, unlike the English, the Japanese don’t put sugar and milk in their tea.
